Have you recently found out that you are pregnant? Whether you took a home pregnancy test or your doctor confirmed your pregnancy for you, you may be experiencing a wide array of emotions. Those emotions may include happiness, excitement, hope, as well as fear. When it comes to the birth of a child, particularly a first child, there are many mothers who have a number of different issues or concerns that must be dealt with. Those issues and concerns may include money, additional living space, healthcare, and needed baby supplies, like baby formula and diapers. Although these are all issues and concerns that must be dealt with, something should come first. That is the health of you and your baby. The moment that you learn that you are pregnant, you should start taking steps to receive prenatal care. Although it is important to hear that prenatal care is something that you should seek right away, there are many mothers, especially first time mothers, who wonder what is so important about doing so. If this is a question that you have asked yourself, you are not alone. A few of the many reasons why you should actively seek prenatal care, when pregnant, are outlined below. What you need to know is that prenatal care is important to your baby’s health, as well as your health. Although a large focus will be placed on your baby and its development, prenatal care is also used to ensure that you are healthy as well. This often involves monitoring your weight, your blood pressure, as well as the expanding size of your stomach. That is one of the many reasons why you should attend all of your prenatal care appointments, as it is important to your health, as well as your baby’s. Another reason why prenatal care appointments are important is because they can be used to determine if your baby will have any medical conditions or complications when they are born. While many parents do not want to know, ahead of time, there are many others who do. Knowing if your baby will have any medical conditions is important, as it can help you financially prepare for those complications and any life adjustments that need to be made. The above mentioned reasons are just a few of the many reasons why it is important that you seek prenatal care when pregnant. In addition to monitoring your health and the healthy of your baby, you should also seek prenatal care as it is a fun, exciting, and an important experience. When attending your prenatal care appointments, whether you be seeing a family practice doctor, an OBGYN, or a midwife, you should be able to see a sonogram of your baby, as well as hear his or her heartbeat. These things are things that parents never forget. Despite the importance of prenatal care, there are many pregnant women who do not seek it. This occurs for a number of different reasons; however, the most common reason is associated with money. If you are currently uninsured or if your health insurance doesn’t cover prenatal care, you may be concerned with the cost of it, as you should be. What you should know is that many healthcare professionals would be more than willing to work with, like with the creation of a payment plan. There are also health centers, which can be found all across the country, that are designed for low-income women or those without medical insurance. As outlined above, prenatal care is extremely important to your health and the health of your baby, when you are pregnant. Whether you are having your first child or your third, it is important that you seek the recommended amount of prenatal care. Pregnancy is one of the most important issues that you will have to deal with in your life and it is extremely important that it is dealt with in the proper matter.

While a debate continues to rage among educationalists about the best time to teach children to read, tiny babies are proving time and again that they not only can read, but love to do so.Felicity Wong is a case in point. A YouTube video shows her reading more than a dozen words just two days after her first birthday. As her father writes and erases the words on a magnetic doodle pad, the tiny girl gestures to indicate the meaning of each word in turn, even pronouncing a couple of them out loud.Felicity is now two and a half. Recent videos show her reading her Thomas the Tank Engine book by herself at two years and four months and her Cinderella book at two years and five months – both of them from cover to cover. When Felicity’s father, KL, offers to read a book for her, the response he gets is invariably an impassioned one, “No! I want to read it myself.”Notes mother Elaine, “Felicity has developed a great love for reading. She actually prefers books to her toys!” In terms of the lessons themselves, KL says, “The biggest myth about teaching babies to read is that it is necessary to force them in some way. In fact, babies love to read, and the lessons are a great source of bonding between parents and children.”KL and Elaine believe their daughter’s affinity for books is a natural consequence of early and consistent exposure to the written word. Using flash cards, Felicity’s parents began introducing her to a variety of words from the age of 4 months. The cards enable young babies to easily learn to recognize words, but of course, they do not teach the words’ meanings. In the beginning, Felicity was very focused on the cards. But as time went by, her attention began being drawn to other things – especially as she became increasingly mobile. Because KL and Elaine only gave Felicity lessons when she was receptive, and always stopped before she wanted to, these lessons were soon becoming shorter and less frequent. Then, when Felicity was 9 months old, KL and Elaine began showing her multi-sensory DVDs that taught the meanings of words along with the words themselves. The dedicated parents also began producing sets of words as books and even computer programs, accompanied by photos taken by and of themselves. As well as enjoying the DVDs, Felicity loved the books and software so much that it was not unusual for her to ask to see five sets of words in a row.At 11 months old, Felicity began demonstrating knowledge of the meanings of words – and even reading some words out loud. Eager to share this news and encourage other parents to teach their babies to read, KL and Elaine filmed Felicity reading on two occasions at the age of 12 months.A common objection raised against babies reading is that they are parroting words without meaning. Yet, in these two videos of Felicity, we see a baby clearly demonstrating knowledge of the meanings of many words. In the first video, Felicity pronounces 2 words out loud and gestures to indicate the meanings of 12 others. In the second video, she reads aloud 11 words (including 2 in Chinese) and gestures the meanings of 5 words. As the videos of Felicity at two years and four months, and two years and five months show, it was just a short step from here to being able to read her favorite books all on her own. KL and Elaine feel they have given their daughter the gift of a lifelong love of reading. And while they continue to be amazed by Felicity’s progress, they also believe that every parent can achieve something similar with their own child – provided they begin teaching him or her early enough.

Most educated women in USA know that drinking alcohol or doing drugs during a pregnancy puts child at risk of birth defect.
Most educated women in USA also know that getting pregnant after age 39 puts child at risk of being born with Down’s Syndrome.
Women who do cocaine while pregnant can be criminally charged if child is born with Birth Defects, the same is true for alcohol abuse.
Why is it women can deliberately risk the health of their unborn child by ignoring late conception warnings?
Does someone’s own ignorant religious beliefs excuse them from acting responsibly when it comes to conception?
Do you think women who ignore warnings about Down’s Syndrome should be punished for their backwards beliefs?
Should they be punished doubly for insisting this child be born like this to bolster their own “righteousness”?

They will help explain a lot of the choices available before, during, and after the birth and will tell you about labor, birth, and baby care. For more detail go to: www.baby-care-book.com.You’ll also meets other expectant parents with due dates near yours.

if you’re planning a hospital delivery, hospital based classes can be useful, they’ll help familiarize you with procedures and will include a tour of the labor ward. Child birth educators generally offer classes in hospitals as well as birthing centers, but some communities offer other local venues as well. Ask friends who have young babies to recommend a good class that’s easy to get most child birth classes include guidance on preparing your self for an active birth, in which your partner or birth coach is also involved.

There’s now a huge choice in maternity care, although how wide the choice is will depend on what’s available in your area. Looking at your prenatal options also means looking at your birth options.Once you know you’re pregnant, your first call will probably be to your family doctor or gynecologist. He or she may confirm the pregnancy with another test, take your blood pressure, and ask when your last period was to work out the due date. Your doctor will tell you the different options for prenatal care available in your area, and you can also talk through where the baby will be born, since these are often linked. Don’t feel you have to make your mind up on any of these issues immediately go away and think about the possibilities before finalizing details.

You’ll be cared for by hospital based doctors, your obstetrician and or midwife. The prenatal care may lack the informality of other options, for more help visit to: www.create-super-baby.com. but if you have any complications, have an existing medical condition, or are having twins, it’s probably the wisest choice to have your pregnancy monitored by professionals in this setting.

In many places, prenatal care is given almost entirely by midwives who are based either in a free standing site dedicated to prenatal care labor and delivery or in a hospital. The comfortable, home like feeling of midwife centers is a comfort to many women who would like to have a natural birth out side of a hospital setting .Many women benefit from building a relationship with the midwives who will also deliver their babies.

You’ll have consultations, checkups, and tests through out your pregnancy to make sure you and your baby are doing fine. Most pregnancies are perfectly normal, but it’s vital to have this check up to make sure all is well and to spot possible problems early, before any harm is done.
