What Is The Difference Between Drinking Alcohol When Pregnant And Getting Pregnant Past 39 Yrs Old?

Most educated women in USA know that drinking alcohol or doing drugs during a pregnancy puts child at risk of birth defect.
Most educated women in USA also know that getting pregnant after age 39 puts child at risk of being born with Down’s Syndrome.
Women who do cocaine while pregnant can be criminally charged if child is born with Birth Defects, the same is true for alcohol abuse.
Why is it women can deliberately risk the health of their unborn child by ignoring late conception warnings?
Does someone’s own ignorant religious beliefs excuse them from acting responsibly when it comes to conception?
Do you think women who ignore warnings about Down’s Syndrome should be punished for their backwards beliefs?
Should they be punished doubly for insisting this child be born like this to bolster their own “righteousness”?
